Research Assistant Opportunity in Computational Psychiatry (fMRI) and Cognitive Neuroscience

Homan Lab
University of Zurich & Psychiatric University Hospital Zurich
Zurich, Switzerland

We are looking for motivated Research Assistants. Our research investigates how humans learn, remember, and use language to build and navigate internal cognitive representations. By combining functional MRI (fMRI), behavioural experiments, speech-language analysis, and computational approaches, we aim to better understand human cognition and its relevance to computational psychiatry and mental health.

We welcome applications from candidates with backgrounds in Neuroscience, Cognitive Neuroscience, Neural Systems and Computation, Psychology, Biomedical Engineering, Health Sciences and Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Computational Linguistics, or related disciplines. Previous experience with MRI research, programming, or neuroimaging analysis is advantageous but not required. We value curiosity, initiative, and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary research.

This position is well suited to candidates who are interested in pursuing a PhD in cognitive neuroscience, computational psychiatry, or related fields. Outstanding candidates will have opportunities to contribute to scientific publications and receive support to present their work at international conferences. Salary will be discussed based on experience and availability.
