ABOUT CLARMONDIAL
Clarmondial is an independent company focused on designing and implementing investment solutions for the sustainable
use of natural resources. Through advisory work and the investment funds it has developed, Clarmondial supports nature,
climate and livelihood initiatives across multiple countries and regions. Clarmondial’s activities aim to achieve positive social
and environmental outcomes. We work primarily in emerging and developing markets across investment structuring,
blended finance, sustainable agriculture, nature-based solutions, and carbon and biodiversity finance.
CAREER DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY
The internship will create opportunities for career development, including by developing hands-on experience across a
range of functions and initiatives. The opportunity will also enable networking with industry leaders in the environmental /
nature finance and impact investing fields.
THE ROLES
We are looking to fill up to two positions covering three functional areas. Candidates may be suited to one area or span
more than one. We are flexible on the precise configuration depending on who applies.
1. Advisory support
Supporting investment analysis and due diligence across Clarmondial’s investment and advisory mandates. Tasks
include financial modelling, pipeline assessment, support on the preparation of investment materials, and research on
market and sector developments. Suited to candidates with a background in finance, economics or business
management.
2. Data Management, impact reporting & environmental analysis
Supporting the consolidation, management and analysis of environmental and impact data across Clarmondial’s
portfolio and partner initiatives. Tasks include maintaining and developing impact KPI databases, producing data
summaries and visualisations, and contributing to new data-driven initiatives with partners. Suited to candidates with a
background in environmental sciences, data management, or a related quantitative field.
3. Stakeholder management, outreach & communications
Supporting funder engagement and relationship management, including preparation of reports, coordinating events
and managing logistics around key sector gatherings, and contributing to Clarmondial’s external stakeholder
communications. This includes blog posts, reports, publications, and social media (primarily LinkedIn). Suited to
candidates with a background in communications, marketing, or international relations.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Across all roles, we are looking for people who:
§ have genuine interest in sustainable finance, nature / environmental finance, climate, and/or sustainable agriculture –
and want to build a career in this space.
§ are proactive and take responsibility.
§ have strong attention to detail and produce clean, well-structured outputs.
§ communicate clearly and to a native level in spoken and written English. Additional languages (French, Spanish, German)
are a plus.
§ have international exposure, ideally including experience in or engagement with emerging or developing markets.
1 / 2§ are comfortable working in a cross-cultural team across time zones and with diverse partners.
§ are enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree programme in a relevant discipline.
§ are proficient with Microsoft Office. Familiarity with data tools, CRM platforms, and/or design software is an advantage
depending on the area.
§ are based in or able to commute regularly to Zürich. Clarmondial does not provide relocation or visa support. While we
accept some work from home, we primarily expect colleagues to be in the office.
§ hold a valid Swiss work permit or be a citizen of Switzerland or an EU/EFTA member state. Clarmondial is not able to
sponsor work permits.
