Together with our customers, we combine the real and digital worlds

With technology, software and services for smart infrastructure, we transform the everyday for everyone.

At Siemens Grid Software, we develop products that support our society in meeting the energy demands of the future. Our mission is to build software that enables secure, resilient, and digital power grids.

In our Grid Modelling Product Team, you will work at the heart of the digitalization of the power grid.

Grid models are the foundation of simulation, planning, and operations. High-quality, well-governed models enable trusted digital twins, scalable automation, and credible AI. Poor data, in contrast, leads to unreliable decisions and costly inefficiencies.

Product management is about deciding what to build and why it matters. You will help understand customer problems, turn them into clear product ideas, and guide the team toward solutions, while engineers focus on how to build them.

Your new responsibilities

  • You support the product management team in idea generation by co-developing solution concepts with product managers and engineers, while constructively challenging underlying assumptions
  • Building on this, you actively use artificial intelligence tools to accelerate brainstorming and de-biasing processes, thereby driving innovative approaches within the team
  • In this context, you help maintain continuous discovery routines by supporting activities such as problem framing, assumption mapping, and customer interviews, ensuring key insights remain visible and actionable
  • Complementing these tasks, you contribute to operational product management by supporting backlog maintenance, documenting decisions, updating internal stakeholders, and tracking relevant feedback and key performance indicators

Your talents and experience

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in engineering, information technology, or business with a technical focus
  • Eager to learn, highly motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive mindset, with an interest in working at the intersection of business and engineering in a technical product environment
  • Comfortable taking ownership of structured tasks and either possess a basic understanding of power grids or open to learn
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of German or Italian is a plus
  • Willing to spend at least one day per week in our Zurich or Zug office to collaborate in person and contribute to team ideation
  • Available for at least one year
