optohive AG is an ETH Zurich and USZ spin-off building next-generation wearable fNIRS systems for neuroscience and clinical applications. Our technology enables portable, high-density brain imaging for research and clinical use. We are growing our team and looking for a hands-on Neuroscience & Data Science Intern to drive our measurement and analysis activities.

This is a 6-month, full-time internship in which you will be embedded in our neuroscience team and gain hands-on experience across the full measurement and analysis workflow. You will support the planning and execution of fNIRS and selected EEG measurements, help ensure high-quality data collection, and contribute to the subsequent data analysis. You will work closely with our senior scientists and learn to operate cutting-edge brain imaging technology.

–   Plan and coordinate fNIRS and selected EEG measurements with study participants

–   Perform measurements and ensure consistently high data quality

–   Train and supervise students and interns supporting measurement activities

–   Help design experimental tasks and measurement protocols

–   Process, analyze, and visualize fNIRS and EEG data

–   Develop reproducible data analysis pipelines

–   Identify relevant brain activity patterns and features

–   Work closely with our neuroscience, hardware, and software teams

–   Currently pursuing or recently completed an MSc in neuroscience, biomedical engineering, data science, computational neuroscience, or a related field

–   Strong data analysis and programming skills, preferably Python

–   Experience with neuroimaging, fNIRS, EEG, physiological signals, or similar measurement data

–   Good understanding of experimental design and statistics

–   Hands-on, structured, and comfortable working with study participants

–   Experience with fNIRS, EEG, signal processing, or machine learning is a strong plus
